Objawy UŁK 

Zaostrzenia UŁK (ang. GPP - Generalised Pustular Psoriasis) obejmują wykwit krost, które mogą pojawić się nagle i pokryć duże obszary skóry.4 Krosty to owrzodzenia objęte stanem zapalnym i przypominające pęcherze (zmiany) wypełnione ropą pojawiające się na powierzchni skóry. Skóra może się łuszczyć lub swędzieć, a nawet boleć.10,11 Mogą wystąpić (ogólnoustrojowe) objawy, takie jak gorączka, ból stawów i osłabienie mięśni.

Warto zwrócić uwagę, jakie objawy występują w przypadku UŁK, a także na wszelkie wczesne oznaki, które mogą sygnalizować zbliżające się zaostrzenie choroby.

Różnice pomiędzy UŁK a innymi typami łuszczycy  

UŁK może być mylona z łuszczycą plackowatą, ale są to dwie różne choroby o różnych objawach.4 UŁK to choroba autozapalna, podczas gdy łuszczyca plackowata to choroba autoimmunologiczna.12 Te choroby są powodowane przez inne procesy zachodzące w organizmie i dlatego są leczone w inny sposób.12,17

Ponad połowa pacjentów cierpiących na UŁK może jednocześnie chorować na łuszczycę plackowatą (najczęstszy typ łuszczycy).12

Ponieważ UŁK występuje tak rzadko, rozpoznanie jej nie jest proste – nawet dla lekarzy, dlatego postawienie diagnozy może zająć trochę czasu.12

Wsparcie przy rozpoznaniu UŁK  

UŁK to rzadka choroba, dlatego jej rozpoznanie może zająć trochę czasu. Diagnoza jest zwykle stawiana przez lekarza dermatologa.5,15 Aby prawidłowo rozpoznać chorobę, dermatolog może wykonać badanie krwi lub biopsję (badanie małego fragmentu skóry pod mikroskopem).18 

Warto pamiętać, że metody leczenia mogą pomóc w walce z chorobą, a lekarz może doradzić i udzielić wsparcia.19 

W przypadku silnego bólu skóry, pojawienia się krost na dużej powierzchni skóry lub wystąpienia gorączki, zmęczenia, nudności lub silnego bólu, należy jak najszybciej skontaktować się z lekarzem.20 UŁK może nie dawać objawów ogólnoustrojowych, więc w przypadku zaostrzenia choroby, nawet bez wystąpienia objawów ogólnoustrojowych, należy mimo wszystko skontaktować się z lekarzem.21

Rozmowa z lekarzem pomoże dowiedzieć się więcej o życiu z UŁK. Lekarz będzie w stanie udzielić Pani/Panu wsparcia w zakresie diagnozy i leczenia choroby.
