Należy zwrócić uwagę na swój ogólny stan zdrowia przed zaostrzeniem. Mogą wystąpić złe samopoczucie i ogólny niepokój, a także zmniejszony apetyt, nudności, gorączka lub ból stawów.2,23
Zaostrzenia UŁK mogą pojawić się nagle.4 Mogą wystąpić w dowolnym momencie i być nieprzewidywalne – trudno przewidzieć, kiedy się pojawią, jak długo będą trwać lub jakie będą miały nasilenie.4,22
Nieleczone zaostrzenie może zagrażać życiu, dlatego ważna jest rozmowa z lekarzem, gdy tylko pojawią się pierwsze oznaki zaostrzenia, niezależnie od tego, czy jest ono łagodne czy nie.2,3

Leczenie
UŁK to szczególny rodzaj łuszczycy, który zdecydowanie różni się od łuszczycy plackowatej. Jest to schorzenie, które wymaga leczenia ogólnoustrojowego (działającego na cały organizm), a nie tylko leczenia miejscowego. Dlatego ważne jest omówienie z lekarzem dostępnych opcji leczenia, które mogą pomóc w walce z chorobą.
W przypadku leczenia UŁK celem jest złagodzenie objawów.15 Leczenie może złagodzić objawy, co pozwoli uniknąć powikłań.15
